James Stazicker's research is in the philosophy of mind and cognitive science, the philosophy of perception, and epistemology. He aims to understand the role of perceptual experience as a source of knowledge, in a way that’s sensitive to the latest scientific accounts of perceptual processes. His current projects are about visual attention, cognitive penetration, and Molyneux’s Question. He also has a serious interest in ancient philosophy.
