JED LEWINSOHN is from New Jersey, but has been calling himself a New Yorker for many years. He went to Cornell, and spent some time in Berlin and Jerusalem at various points during and after college. At NYU he hopes to learn more about epistemology, early modern philosophy (particularly 17th century), philosophy of language, and philosophy of law. Beyond philosophy, he is interested in Jewish studies (not excluding Woody Allen).
