Justin Clarke-Doane graduated from New College of Florida with a joint
concentration in philosophy and mathematics. For his senior thesis, he
developed a property-theoretic account of natural number arithmetic.
He is most interested in foundational and methodological problems in
metaphysics, the philosophy of mathematics, and metaethics. His
dissertation argues that there is a surprising tension between moral
antirealism and mathematical realism, despite important differences
between morality and mathematics.
Outside of philosophy, Justin enjoys making music, acting, and hiking.
